Artist Sonia Larson presents her palm frond art, paintings on the base of actual palm fronds.
Sonia Larson is well known for her palm frond art. She uses a part of the palm tree that is normally discarded and creates three-dimensional wall hangings. Palm frond art is made from actual "palm fronds" taken from Florida palms. The fronds are all natural and unique in size and shape. They are all individually hand painted and are original works of art. The paintings are great for home decorating and gift giving because of the novelty of each piece. Sonia has received several awards for this unusual art form. She has also received praise and recognition for her innovative thinking in combing natural resources with fine art. Her palm frond art has been in magazines, newspapers, and local and national TV. Sonia hopes to inspire other artists to be creative and think outside the box.
